MRAD Checker
You will need
- an A4 or A3 sheet, or another accurately measured object
- an accurately known distance
- a clear view of the object through the scope
Useful paper dimensions: A4 short edge 210 mm · A4 long edge 297 mm · A3 short edge 297 mm.
Your previous measurement has been restored. You can edit any value below and check again.
Example only: read the total measurement, starting at a clear graduation and ending wherever the object edge actually falls.
Getting an accurate reading
Use the largest measurement you can read clearly on your reticle. A bigger measurement usually gives a more accurate result, because a small reading error becomes a smaller percentage of the total. Some reticles read clearly to around 10 MRAD, others to 15 or 20 MRAD using the extra graduations near the thick posts - use whatever is the largest you can read clearly.
